Practical clothing and footwear must be worn by the children at all times they are in attendance at Little Acorns. It is the parent/carer’s responsibility to name and clearly label all items of clothing. Security

Under no circumstances will any child be permitted to leave Little Acorns with anybody unknown to nursery staff unless this has been arranged with the Nursery Management. The nursery will require the collecting adult to present photographic ID and proof of address upon arrival at the nursery before the child can be released. A list of authorised adults will be collected on all children’s registrations forms, prior to commencing nursery.

General Information

We have a duty of care to children to report any instances of which we suspect a child to be neglected or abused. Please refer to our Safeguarding Policy for our full procedure that will be followed. It is important that you inform us if your child is subject to any Court Orders, Child Protection plan, Early Help plan or intervention from other agencies with regards to their safeguarding, health or development. This is to ensure that we can implement assistance within nursery.

Little Acorns is a completely ‘NUT FREE’ nursery. This is due to a number of children and/or adults with allergy to nuts. Parents are requested not to use any creams, sun creams, oils etc on their child that may contain nut oil as this may have severe consequences for the children or adults.

It is important to provide clothing appropriate to the weather conditions.

It is the responsibility of parent/carers to inform Little Acorns of changes to any personal information, address or contact details of your child and any of the responsible adults who are authorised to collect your child.
